PEZ and Piglet – Pink Saturday

Tucked into my mailbox one day was a small package addressed to me with a return address of someone named Carter from somewhere in Georgia. I was pretty sure I didn’t know this Carter person, so I was a little hesitant to open it, but curiosity got the best of me.

pez 003 Inside I found this precious PEZ dispenser featuring Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. I learned that Carter is a high school classmate of my sister-in-law Susie. A collector of PEZ dispensers, he had read my blog about my passion for pigs (click HERE) and sent me this special gift. Now wasn’t that thoughtful!

So I’m wondering if it’s now time to break into the package and begin passing out those little candies. Maybe they’ll turn out to be an antidote for swine flu.

bijw9y You can visit others who are in the pink by heading over to Beverly’s place at How Sweet the Sound.

What a wonderful and thoughtful surprise!! Before you break that open, make sure it's not a limted edition--I've been looking for Elvis one for a gift bag and some of the limited editions are pricy :) Happy Pink Saturday!

I was brought up on AA Milne's stories and as a father of three, it brought back wonderful memories to read the same tales to my own beloved children.

What a sweet surprise. Isn't it great how folks still do things for a complete stranger and so many try to say there are no good people left.
Have a great day.

Hi again! (Just left you a comment on your Blogging Party post.)

Love, love, love this post! And your comment regarding swine flu is hilarious! What a sweet thing for a fellow blogger (and a man at that!) to do!

I have really tried to keep rational about this whole swine flu thing, but when 2 of the first 11 cases in the COUNTRY were confirmed 3 counties over from where we live in KS, I could feel my anxiety increase. Not so much for me, but for what my husband (fire medic) will come into contact with as a first responder. He seems to be taking it in stride so I guess I should too! Thank goodnes preschool is almost out for the summer! I've been avoiding malls with my little ones anyway as they seem to pick up every gastro virus in those play areas! LOL

Blessings,
Valerie
