I have received another email from GE. No, I will not be getting a new refrigerator, but they have offered to reimburse me for the cost of the part.
Interestingly, all of my correspondence with them has been from their Social Media Team. All of my talking to various GE “consumer advocates” via telephone didn’t produce much in the way of results. However, when I published my concerns for all the world to read (well, maybe not quite; I only have a little over 100 followers), somebody took notice.
Guess that’s a testament to blogging.

Kathy, I just went back and re-read your refrigerator debacle. I hate dealing with these big companies. It can be so frustrating! I always get one of those "press this # and that # recordings! Drives me crazy! I'm glad to know that someone finally took notice. I'll have to remember to blog about these disaster in the future. Hope my blog will attract as much attention as yours. laurie
Have a fabulous trip...Montenegro is on my list so I'll be anxious to hear how you like it. I loved Venice-its very touristy but still, an amazing place! Oh and Athens...loved it too. I guess there's not many places in Europe I don't love : )
