Sometime in the mid-1950’s my sister Margie and I dressed in our Easter finest and appeared on the runway in a fashion show at the Camden, Arkansas, Municipal Auditorium or Muny Hall as it was commonly called.
Back in the day we were right in style with our hats, short white gloves and white ankle socks.
You can visit Margie at MarMar Moments, but be aware that she doesn’t post as often as I.

Brings back memories of Easter's past. Thanks! Have a blessed Easter!
Oh what sweet memories. You two look so pretty. I do remember all the pretty white gloves, hats and the crinolin (spelling?) petticoats. All of the dresses had to stand out just so. Thanks for the memories. HAPPY EASTER! Hugs, Marty
I do remember those days!!! Which sister is you?
My, my, such stylish little ladies. How well I remember those little hats and white socks and gloves. Mom made us wear them every year. I hated the hats and my poor white gloves where black time I got home...lol...
How did we ever stand those petticoats? But I always thought the bigger, the better! Love those purses..ever have an Easter muff?
Oh - now how sweet is that? VERY
Oh, yes. I was just talking to someone today about memories of our Easter dresses; the white shoes my mom bought us in spring, the white wrist-length gloves!!
I guess its a memory of women of a certain age....
Talk about deja vous! I don't know which child was you, but I could have been the little one. I remember being so proud at Easter in my hat, dress and patent leather shoes. I even had a little white fur demi cape. Now that I think of it, it was probably rabbit fur. oh yuck. Thanks for the blast from the past, makes me smile.
i think easter bonnets are great!!
I'm playing catch up with some blog reading. What a cute picture. Looks like me and my sister at Easer (white gloves, white socks, etc.)! laurie
