Let's Hear It For the Girls!!

LBeau and I raised three boys, and while I wouldn't trade my sons for anything in the world, I'm really getting spoiled by having some girls around.  Girls remember your birthday without getting a text message reminder.

Case in point.  Last Sunday on my birthday we were in Arkansas for a family funeral.  Returning to Birmingham, we stopped in Little Rock to see Ben, Claire and Lucy.  Sweet Claire had baked me a birthday cake, and Lucy got to help blow out the candles.

Point #2.  In the mail the next day was this birthday card from Brent, Katie, Walker and Lauren.  Does anyone think Brent was the one who helped the kids make this cute masterpiece?

Awhhhh! Happy Birthday -- how sweet to have such a sweet "helper" with blowing out the candles. We have four grandgirls (good thing my favorite color is pink!) Intrestingly the twins (2 years old) have a recent obsession with trucks.

That's adorable! Although, from someone who never had a son, having a son-in-law is pretty special as well.

Girls are the best! : )

I do look forward to sons in law one of these days though. And I know my hubs does! He loves his girls but feels outnumbered most of the time.

Yes, I did post that from my Iphone. I just locate my blog thru Safari and go from there. I wouldn't want to do an entire post that way...I'm a one-finger poster on the Iphone. It was 71 today in Rogers...high of 37 expected tomorrow. Welcome to Arkansas:) Happy Thanksgiving.

Kathy, I'm so sorry to be so late getting here. My life has been so hectic lately. That card is such a treasure - a real keepsake - Hallmark couldn't have come up with a better card. That is such a cute photo of you and Lucy, and what fun to get a surprise b'day cake when you went to visit. Sounds like you had a great celebration. Thank you for linking it to Favorite Things. laurie one.
