While Katie and Baby Lauren took a much needed nap, KBeau got to take Walker to Fantastic Sam’s for his first haircut. It was one of those grandmother experiences that I wouldn’t have wanted to miss.
Like all of my boys, Walker has fine blonde hair, so all he needed was a little trim around the ears and at the neck. Memory asked me if I wanted to hold him, but I naively replied, “Let’s try the booster chair.” I should have known better.
Here we are in our capes, all ready for a little trim.
All was well until Memory brought out the scissors.
Get that camera out of my face.
All done and time to play in the kitchen.
We made it back to the house with a certificate for bravery and a few snips of hair. Katie thought he looked so cute and wondered why she hadn’t gotten it cut sooner.
To see more transformations, be sure to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. I’m sure you’ll see lots of lovely make overs, but it’s a grandmother’s prerogative to assure you that none are as cute as mine.

What priceless pictures and how cute that you both got in the chair with capes! I think you deserve a certificate of bravery too!
He looks very handsome and grown up. I hope the whole experience wasn't too traumatic for the little guy! He looks like he pulled through alright in the end!
Oh my goodness, he is just too cute!!
Great pictures, he look so darn cute. You are blessed.
Boy does that bring make memories!
How sweet. Boy those scissors sure do scare them don't they? He is a little doll.
I have never quite understood why they HATE that first hair cut so much. I guess they're afraid we're trying to cut their ears off or something.
So cute! What a great milestone to share. Have a great Monday!
That was just precious to be part of this memory! My Dan had hardly any hair and didn't get a first haircut til he was 18 months old. Baby fine like Walker's and it just didn't grow long! Thanks for letting me remember. Sue

What great photos and such a cute boy! Glad you were able to create this memory.
Oh, what precious pictures! I remember those soft little wisps of hair that feel like angel kisses. So sweet!
Oh, he's a cutie pie!
That was a cute post. When my grandson got his first haircut, his daddy shaved it all off. I was mortified. But they loved it.
My hubby took our little 18 month old grandson for them both to get a haircut this past Saturday. He pretty much wiggled and squirmed the whole time in between tears. Oh, well, the final product is pretty darn cute! Linda
